Metin2 Toplist: How the Top-Banner Advertisement Works
Metin2pserver.net runs a small weekly ad system on top of the toplist: server owners can place a 802x90 banner above every page for the rest of the week. Booking is a donation to a charity of our choice via Tiltify (we never see a cent), and there are exactly four rotating slots open at any moment. This page walks through the requirements, how the slot looks in your Server-Panel, and where you upload the banner once a slot is yours.
How the System Works
- 4 rotating slots per week. The banner is shown at the top of every toplist page in rotation, Monday to Monday.
- One booking = one charity donation. You don't "buy" the slot. You donate the listed amount through Tiltify directly to a charity we have picked, and the donation receipt unlocks the ad slot for the rest of the week. We are not a profit center for this.
- Eligibility is verified automatically every midnight (European timezone). Our server checks each Metin2 server's backlink, channel count and competitor-link status, and unlocks the booking form for the next morning if everything is clean.
- Banner spec: exactly 802x90 pixels, .jpeg only, max 150 KB.
Requirements at a Glance
What the Booking Looks Like in Your Panel
Open your Server-Panel and scroll to the Top banner advertisement card. It shows the per-week price, the number of slots still open this week, and a full requirements checklist for the currently selected server. Green checkmarks mean that requirement is met. Red crosses mean it isn't, with a one-line hint of what to fix. A clear banner at the bottom of the card says "Backlink required. Verify a backlink on any of your servers to unlock advertising." while a requirement still fails.
Once every box on a given server flips to a green checkmark, the per-week price button becomes clickable. Clicking it opens the Tiltify checkout in a new tab.
The Tiltify Donation Step
The booking redirects to tiltify.com, an internationally recognized donation platform. You complete the donation in Tiltify's own checkout: card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in whichever currency you prefer. The donation goes 100% to the listed charity. We receive a webhook from Tiltify confirming the donation, and the system flips your slot from "unlocked" to "booked" on the spot.
Important: the slot is tied to the donation receipt. We never handle the money, never take a cut, and never have access to your payment details. Tiltify is the system of record.
Uploading Your Banner
Once the donation clears, open your server in Edit Server and switch to the Banner tab in the left sidebar. The upload card shows your current banner, the technical specs (468 by 60 for the in-listing banner, plus the 802 by 90 top banner once booked), the rules, and the tips block. Drag-and-drop or click Upload new banner to push the file. Hit Save and the new banner is live within a minute. You can swap the file as often as you want for the rest of the booked week.
Rules for the Banner Itself
- Size: exactly 802x90 pixels for the top banner. Other sizes are rejected.
- Format: JPEG only. PNG, GIF, WEBP are not accepted for the top banner slot.
- File size: max 150 KB. Compress before upload.
- No exaggeration or misleading info. If your server isn't actually offering what the banner advertises, the banner gets pulled and the slot is not refunded.
- No giveaways or money rewards.
- No flashing or epilepsy triggers. Static or gentle animation only.
- Don't make it annoying. If it makes the toplist worse, the slot gets pulled. We have one banner above every page for a week, treat it well.
Ad-System FAQ
Where does my money actually go?
100% to the charity we have chosen on Tiltify. We do not take a cut, we don't pay platform fees out of it, we don't see your payment details. Tiltify is the system of record for the donation.
How many slots are there per week?
4 rotating slots. Each booked banner shows above every page of the toplist in rotation with the other 3 booked banners.
How long does a booking last?
One full week, Monday to Monday. The week starts on the day you complete the Tiltify donation. New bookings open every Wednesday for the slots that are still empty.
I don't have a backlink yet. How do I unlock booking?
Place our backlink button on your server's website and use the backlink-check tool. Every midnight (European timezone) the system re-verifies all servers and your slot will unlock the next morning.
What if I link competing toplists from my website?
The booking will not unlock. The eligibility check fails any server whose website also links to other Metin2 toplists. Remove the competing links and the next nightly check will unlock you again.
Why is my server flagged "not top 2 last week"?
Rotating fairness rule. If your server held position 1 or 2 in last week's ranking, the system blocks a back-to-back ad booking so other servers have a turn. New bookings open Wednesday once that lock lifts, if slots remain.
What happens if I miss the spec (wrong size, PNG, over 150 KB)?
The upload form rejects it before save. The booking is not refunded because the slot is already paid via the charity donation, but you can re-upload an in-spec file at any time during the booked week.
Can I change my banner mid-week?
Yes, as often as you like. Drop a new in-spec JPEG into the Banner tab, hit Save, and the new banner is live within a minute.
Can I book for multiple weeks in advance?
Each donation books exactly one week. To run for multiple weeks, complete one donation per week.
